Hi all! I'm new here and new to overlanding. Looking forward to getting out there.

I'm in run-what-you-brung mode so no yota or jeep, at least not yet. I'll be using my daily, an 03 GMC Sierra 4x4 Z71. It's old and has already seen a lot. I hope to show the old dog some new tricks. Currently it is bone-stock aside from a set of Falken Rubitrek A/Ts.

I live in Gas City, Indiana (AKA: middle of a corn field) but have lived in Denver, Colorado. I miss CO very much and plan to return someday. I guess when I think about it, my time spent there involved some overlanding in my Subaru. It also involved some canyon roads at 2am and a few mph :D, as well as a rally course at C.O.R.E. (Colorado Off Road Extreme). I hope my experience there as well as many camping experiences in my lifetime will help me thrive in this newly discovered lifestyle.

I am ready to meet new people and start really living this life outside of my 9-to-5. So, if you're close or plan to be close, let me know I want to get out and experience the world.

I'm currently waiting on temps to rise enough for postal workers to resume their deliveries (yeah, even the mail carriers run from -45 wind chills) so I can receive the rest of my camping gear. I hope to do some local cold-weather camping within the next couple weeks to gain experience before I take on bigger/longer trips.

Hello from Vancouver, BC! :)

Brand new to overlanding; just bought a '02 WJ and looking to get it all set up for summer trips. Would love any suggestions on what to do and where to go!
Welcome to Overland Bound my neighbor to the North! There is a lot to do in BC, so I am sure you will find a long list of places you want to visit. @CR-Venturer is a great source of information on BC and, in particular, the Fraser River Valley area. The best place to start off is in the Canada West (BC) regional forum [link]. You are also welcome to join in on the Northwest region [link] events and discussions if you don't mind crossing the border.

You can also watch for upcoming events on the Rally Point system [link].

If you need any assistance, just send me a message on the forums @Jedi.

Hello from Colorado, my name's Robb and I daily my 05 Mercedes G. It's been... a project. But it was a smokin' deal used, and sorted as it is I can get anywhere. I grew up backpacking in the Pacific Northwest, and learned to drive on dirt living near Ouray a decade ago, bashing around in my old Explorer. These days I'm struggling to keep the wife and daughter comfy, just enjoying being a few hours from Utah. Growing up in the rain is probably why I love it so much in the desert, as I think of it.

Hello everyone
Thank you for the welcome. New as of today. My name is Peter Fowler and I'm from Halifax NS Canada. I drive a 2013 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab 4x4. It has a 3 inch lift with 33's duel battery w/solar and I haul a combi-camp tent trail for now. Pop up camper is slowly in the works (planning stages). My wife, dog and myself love to explore the not so driven trail and camp out in the wild, off the grid.
Pictures too follow once I'm home on my computer

My name is Lee and I am in Dallas, TX.

2018 Tacoma double cab.

New to overlanding but not new to camping. I love being outside and was introduced to this concept by a buddy that has a pretty sweet trailer rig that he pulls around with his 03 Jeep Wrangler. So I decided to hop in and went with the Tacoma.

Excited to learn more about the community and hopefully participate in some trips moving forward!

View attachment 84158 View attachment 84159 Hey there everyone! Hello from Tampa, FL! I've been on only 2 overlanding trips but they've been across country with my wife and 4 dogs. Right now I'm using my 2018 Jeep Wrangler JLU and a 2017 Runaway trailer that I've made offroad ready. Next trip we are thinking of heading to the northern states to check them out.

Hey everyone,
My name's Logan.
I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I drive an '06 Tacoma and slowly building it (SHHHHH DON'T TELL MY FIANCE).
I grew up in the mountains, so I would confidently classify myself as somewhere between slightly more than novice and expert, depends on the day.

Enthusiast I

Hello all...well, this is my 'second' post....did I already break a rule by not having this my first post ;) I joined yesterday and saw a local post about a potential snow run this weekend and I had to reply...

I just purchased a 2015 Jeep Rubicon, 2 door 6 speed. The previous owner, or should I say explorer/overlander as well as a 100% stand up, straigh shootin' ,very helpful and knowledgeable guy put a lot of thought into the build. I am very lucky to have met him. I am also lucky he wanted more space which forced the sale of the 2 door JK in favor of a 4 door JL...

I live on the Peninsula in San Francisco Bay Area...at 50 years old, it is rare that I am new to anyting, but can safely write that I am new to overlanding...

Thanks to all who maintain this community, I look forward to my time on this site and on the trails....
