Welcome to Overland Bound!Greetings,
Jayson from San Diego here. I've been taking my Jeep JKU Rubicon off-roading for a few years and love the thrill and excitement of overcoming challenging trails. At the end of the day, I'd like to just chill, enjoy the view, and sleep under the stars. My kids are growing up pretty quickly and I hope this can be something we can do as a family.

Welcome Paul and Rachel!!Hi all,
We’re Paul & Rachel from northern Virginia. We’ve been looking at Overland Bound for a while to get some insight into buying our first rig.
A couple of weeks ago we bought a 1997 Toyota 4Runner and we’ve been in the process of getting her to a good baseline. We still have a lot of work to do but it’s been a fun project so far.
I’ll post photos once we get enough posts under our belts.
Y’all have a cool community here, looking forward to a lot of learning.

Welcome to Overland B0und!Hi everyone ... Jon Norris here ... just joined Overland Bound this evening. I've done a lot of hiking, climbing, camping etc over the last 30 years+ and have just got my first 4WD so that I can get into overlanding.
Took my standard-fit Outback (Oscar) to Joshua Tree this past week and got it dusty on the Geology Tour Road and Black Eagle Mine Road. Planning to do a bunch of upgrades to Oscar over the coming months. Would love to hear from other members who have experience of Outbacks and using them for overlanding.
Looking forward to talking to you and learning from you :-)

Welcome to Overland Bound!Looks like this is the place to begin. Bill from Oakland (home) and Bear Valley (cabin), CA. 2018 4Runner, TRD Pro...stock for now, but getting lots of rig envy looking through the posts here. I'm new to the world of overlanding, but come with a history of backpacking, XC skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and light off-road driving. I recently took an outstanding 1-day off-road driving class from The Driving Company* in Hollister, CA, and now feel comfortable tackling moderately challenging terrain. I'm an avid fly fisher, so am particularly interested in trips that lead to fishy, moving water. Looking forward to exploring the forum and connecting with the community.
* Tried to post a link, but am not allowed to do that yet. Google "driving company hollister" and you'll find them.
