Hello! My name is Steve G. I'm very interested in learning from all you folks that have done some offroading with a trailer. Mine isn't really setup to get into rough stuff, but I did take it up a few washed out roads this summer up here in the Pacific NW. Thanks for having me!

Hello , Welcome to Overland Bound.

I am the Northwest Director. @Gabriel Bozeman, Ubiety and @PNW EXPLR are your closest member representatives.

To help navigate through the forums, here are some links that can be filtered by “Region” prefix. We are in the Overland Bound North America US Northwest Region (US Northwest for short).

Overland Bound Meetups- is where all member generated rally points are posted in forum format for discussion of Rally Point and other types of Meetups. A meetup can be as simple as a group getting together for coffee, a trail ride, or a full in expedition with other Overland Bound Members.

Overland Bound Trip Planning- is a great place to talk about planning a trip wether by your self or as a group.

Overland Bound Routs: Downloadable- is exactly what it sounds like. Search, or share your GPX files here with a description of the route and POIs.

Share your Overland Routes- is similar time the downloadable posted above, but doesn’t require you to share the actual GPX file.

Overland Bound By Region < North America < US Northwest- is where you can find regional members discussing local events, Overland News, and general topics. It’s a great recourse to mete others in the regions.

Member Maps- a great trip planning tool. It can also be used to send out messages to members near your location, or a location you plan to visit.

Rally Point- a tool used to creat Meetups or send out an SOS.

Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask myself or your member representative team. Again welcome and hope to see you on the trails.

Hello from Indiana! Our family rig is a 2019 Subaru Ascent with a CVT RTT. We will be doing some off-road modifications this winter. We have already driven across the country to the west coast multiple times. Looking forward to learning more about overlanding here!
Check out the THOR…I put the route together a few years back and lead a tour of it every June…

Hi All
Thanks for letting me join. While I’ve been a life long outdoors activity person, from hiking, backpacking, MTB to fishing and hunting, I’m relatively new to overlanding. I’m DFW based and as a family we have three fairly robust vehicles capable of reasonably technical overlanding. With that said, we are looking for opportunities to overland as a family and as part of a larger group. We are also looking for guided adventure, where we can learn best practice, effective use of equipment and sustainability practices.

My personal truck is a 2013 Land Rover LR4. I’ve made some modifications, including the OEM recommended Warn Winch. My desire is do some further modifications that include a swing bar for my spare tire, as well as interior mods to accommodate cooking, refrigeration etc. Some of these I can do by myself, but for some of the exterior mods I’m hopeful someone here can recommend a garage or someone who does high-quality work. I’m in the Grapevine (DFW) area and would welcome any recommendations. My son has a. 2017 4Runner TRD pro and he is looking to do some mods as well.

Again, nice to be here and look forward to future adventures.

Hey Steve! Welcome to the crew.
That’s a nice setup. Trailer as a base camp and a reliable truck to explore! I like it.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Hello new friends,

My name is joe and I am moderately new to overlanding. I have done road trips and car camped for years but never thought much of it till I started learning more about it. I just bought my first vehicle that I am specifically building for overland trips.

- I have a 2012 Jeep JK. I specifically went with the 2 door to keep my rig small and I prefer the short wheel base. My son, Hawkins, has named my Jeep "Char" because he says it's cool like Charmander from Pokemon.
- I live in Pearl, MS but I was raised in Portland, OR before moving to New Orleans, LA, but when I was 15 Hurricane Katrina moved me to the central MS area.
- When it comes to experience, I would say I am a moderate beginner. Moderate experience because I have done lots of trips mainly on paved roads, but beginner because I am looking to build out my Jeep for more dedicated off road overlanding.View attachment 215513 This is ole girl "Char"
Hey, nice to see some Jeeps, building it give lots of joy! Have a great one!

Hello everyone I’m new here!! So here’s a little bit about me.

Hey, have a great time building your car.

I’m based in New Brunswick Canada
My rig currently is a stock 2016 jeep Cherokee sport 4x4 and I’m in the process of building it up the way I want.
My experience of off-roading/over landing started with a four wheeler then went to trucks with needing to go to remote locations and I enjoyed it I’ve loved the off-road community and love adventures and heard about over landing one day. I’d say I’m new to off road driving but not that new I’m learning and picking up tricks here and there here’s a picture of my rig as it stands and I have a Instagram page for the build progress and adventures I go on. Cheers

Hey guys,
Bought a 97 land cruiser at the beginning of the pandemic - fearing for the impending zombie apocalypse - no camping in it yet :/

1997 triple locked no roof rack black Toyota Land Cruiser

I used to camp all the time when younger. Now it's time for my little ones to do the same, but in a land cruiser!

Coming out of Long Island NY
Welcome to OB have a great time!
