Hey Overland Bound, my name is Oliver Barajas. I am located in Sonoma County, CA. I drive a 2021 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road long bed. I am new to the true BLM land style overlanding but have been campground camping my entire life. Just got my truck with overlanding in mind as I build it up to be more capable than stock. Excited to join the group and join in on some trips and meet new people. I am new to HAM radio as well, I’m the process of studying for the test, hope to learn more skills on this as well. Hey everyone! I had posted once but I just saw this thread so I'll give a little more info about me and my truck, ect. I'm Jeff and I'm from Northeast PA. I've done a fair bit of off roading when I lived in North Carolina. We would hit up the various powerline clearings and tank trails on base to put our trucks/jeeps through the paces in the mud pits down there. Always was a good time! Being from up North, and my job in the natural gas industry, I also have quite a bit of experience driving in heavy snow and recovering vehicles from ditches.

Last week I traded in my '18 Escape for a brand new Ford Ranger Sport. Super stoked about this truck! My main goal for it will be to outfit it with a moderate lift and whatever I need for extended off grid trips. It's completely stock so the first step is to get it Line-x'd and get some storage installed for emergency gear/supplies. I'm into preparedness as well so this is an extension of that hobby. Honestly I'm very impressed with the power and handling this truck has and looking forward to having it for a long time. I'm here to learn, gather information and share my own experience, so thank you in advance to all the more experienced overlanders here.

Hello everyone! My wife and I have been exploring before Overlanding was a thing were both military veterans. We’re getting more into the “less traveled” exploration in the US. We have a 2000 Ford Ranger and a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. We are currently in Utah- about an hour south of Salt Lake City. I’ll try to attach a couple photos. Hello all,
I’ve been a long-time visitor and have gained a ton of knowledge from the members on this site (and the great video content on YouTube!).
My name is Tony (Team4M) from the Tampa Bay Area and although free time is rare, I love to spend it outdoors.

I’m constantly evolving my rig (2016 Tundra) to meet the needs of our family.

I got into overlanding because I spent a lot of time backpacking and always enjoyed going “a little farther out” and have always admired old land cruisers. Two summers ago, I rented a fully kitted out 4Runner and spent 5 days in the Colorado backcountry with my oldest son and immediately started shopping for a platform to build on. Since then we’ve done more camping than overlanding but have a few cool adventures on the horizon.
Just got back from a few days on the Georgia traverse and we’re doing a 2-week trek up through Tennessee & Kentucky with Drummond Island Michigan as the final destination. Hoping to get to cape lookout national seashore in the early fall as well.
I hope to learn a bunch and contribute what I can to this great community. Thanks all!
