Hi all,

This looks like a great place to set up camp and I'm looking forward to meeting you all.

I live in North Georgia. I drive a 2014 Jeep JK Rubicon, it is the fourth Jeep I've owned. I've had other off road vehicles to include a LR Series III, but I always seem to come back to Jeeps. I've backpacked and overlanded for years before I even knew it was called overlanding. Thing is, I'm always learning. I'm experienced, but far from expert ... I consider myself a "work in progress."

Stay safe out there!
Welcome!!! That looks like an awesome Rubicon and definitely one of my favorite colors. I think we are all a work in progress. HAHA! Great having you here! By the way, love your profile pic!

Hello fellow OverLanders!

Well after reading these forums on-and-off for a while I finally decided to get my act together... member 3622 checking in ! :grinning:

Located in the Deep Cove area of North Vancouver, the family and I travel around in a 2014 4Runner - look for the badge to be added as soon as it arrives! This is my 3rd off road capable vehicle - 1980 Jeep Grand Wagoneer (yes it was a Woody!) and before the 4Runner a 2010 Tacoma . Although I have not much in Overlanding experience, I have done a fair share of back-country camping.

With our girls now at the age where they are excited about being outdoors, it's time to get them enjoying it every way we can, especially since our oldest wants to visit the Yukon!

Look forwarding to learning lots and sharing lots along the way...
Welcome! Great having you here.

Hey Im Eric E, a student in Wilmington NC!
Im an experienced Kayaker, and have always had a passion for the outdoors. Ive hiked a couple of the peaks in the Adirondacks and im itchng to climb all 46! I also enjoy longboarding, fishing, and hammock camping (no matter how cold!). I got into Overlanding because of my passion for automobiles and the outdoors, its a perfect fusion between the 2! My 2000 Jeep XJ Cherokee is my first 4x4 and i am a complete novice, but i was drawn in by the awesome vintage look of the thing and the unbeatable reliability. Im excited to get out and start exploring new places to camp and kayak, the jeep seems like the perfect vehicle for my needs.

Thanks for the invite. I have wanted to go there for a while now. If I'm back from Cuba in time i will see if I can make it. If not I hope to meet some other OB members at the offroad expo at Dallas-Fort Worth. I believe it's in March at Texas Motor Speedway.

Hi Everyone

Location: Sierra Nevada Foothills (Auburn, CA)
Rig: 2007 Tacoma & 2016 1200 GSA
Experience: Been off roading for about 10 years to find great camping spots/trail heads, photo locations, and places to take my dog :) Just got into two wheel overlanding this last year and I'm in love with it (except I can't bring my dog).

Hello all. New member #3516 joining in. We are back in the USA (Northern Nevada) after another 3 year tour in Japan - we've spent almost 10 years of the last 15 overseas in the Navy and are very much looking forward to renewing a passion for overland exploring in the American West (with a planned trip to Inuvik in the future so the Canadians don't despair of our desire to explore there as well!).

Currently running a 1996 FZJ80 Landcruiser towing a SoCal Teardrops Krawler 459. I like to say the Landcruiser will go anywhere - it is factory locked, OME lift, ARB front, on 285/75R16 BFG KO2s, with a bunch of other modifications, large and small- it is my favorite to wrench on. The SoCal is our home away from home and we absolutely love it. Will try to post a build/options thread in the future.

We have a 2017 RAM 2500 Power Wagon on the way (at the rail yard waiting for a lift to the dealership as of today). This will be our "almost anywhere, but in much more comfort (heated seats!!) and with better towing" exploration vehicle (and a DD as the LC needs some shop time TLC).

We are very much looking forward to opportunities to get out and explore with the Overland Bound community. I have followed many similar online communities over the last 10-15 years, and must say, this is the most friendly, focused on what is really important, group I have encountered. A big thank you to Michael and Corrie for putting it together and we look forward to new adventures!
