Last year I was camping with some people and one guy had a 6" cast iron pan with a heavy wire folding handle. I have searched and searched. I can find ones bigger and with griddle bottoms. 6" smooth bottom is what he had and it is perfect for what I need.
Any one know where these can be found?

They have non-stick folding square pans with griddle bottoms at Walmart, but I'd love to find a smooth bottom one somewhere other than the apparently garbage quality Coleman ones. All the reviews on those say the non-stick coating can't handle the heat and peels off on the first use.

In a pinch, I'll consider the griddle bottom one, but if anyone knows of a folding smooth non-stick pan, let me know.

Have you checked such places as North Face and other camping/hiking specialist sites?

No, because I figure they charge an arm and a leg for stuff, but maybe I'll have a look.

$20 or less is about what I'd want to pay. The one from Walmart is $15 canuck bucks, I think.

The one in the Amazon link is cast iron, smooth, and the handle slips off and on.

Most of the pans like this you need to order, go to a place like Cabelas, or make your own. There is a guy on YouTube that shows how to make one out of an old skillet.

Thank you all for your replies.
You mean like these?
Picture the round one, with a heavy wire handle and smooth inside. All I find are griddle bottoms like that or smooth with fixed handles. If the handle looked good enough, I wouldn't mind if it had wood on it. The pan I saw would fit in my storage perfectly. This has been an obsession since last winter. I looked at the one with a removable handle in person and wasn't impressed with the build. I love my cast iron and this would make a nice addition.

Lodge makes a pan without the long handle, just two smaller ones on the sides. They call it the dual handle skillet. Might be worth a look depending on your needs. I know I've had my eye on it for my chuck box build, but I have a small 10 inch one and a stainless griddle I found.

The one you saw...did you handle it? I ask because I have a heavy duty one with a heavy guage wire handle that my buddy thought was cast iron until he picked it up.

Yes, I looked it over carefully looking for a brand name. He got it as a gift so he couldn't tell where it came from.

Here is another one via Amazon. The description says it's cast iron.
That exactly only 6". The seller is a distributor and I couldn't see a brand on it.

I thank you all for the help here so far. As I said before, this became an obsession with me. In my opinion this was the perfect portable skillet for single use I have seen. Im beginning to think, the company who made it probably only did a short run of them.
