IT IS...I find I can spend all day in my truck, exploring, having fun. BUT I need a real bed at night. My days of many nights in tents and sleeping pads are unfortunately gone.

But we just adapt and keep going. The rig just gets a little heavier.
Go light and comfortable, get a hammock. I stopped sleeping in the ground long ago actually have go to sleeping in a hammock full time now.

The beauty of my setup is that in 1 hour upon arrival at home. It's back to this configuration...

glad to see another F150 on here.... you know I had been contemplating getting rid of my leitner rack because I want to make the truck look more simple when I'm not out camping but I hadn't even thought about just unbolting it and storing it until I'm ready to go back out......

It's real easy and quick. I doubt it took more than 20 minutes to remove it.

As full size as a light truck (former Dually Truck) can be before becoming a medium duty truck.

A different trip to White Sands National Monument

Not sure what kind of trails I can actually traverse with a heavy diesel rig with such a long wheel base.
