I tried to remain neutral in this feud, but this was my attempt to make the legendary NJ breakfast sandwich for the masses. I haven't been to Jersey yet, but having the real deal one is high on my list of things to do whenever I get to visit back east.

thanks to Tik-Tok, the wife now knows how sausage is made as well as a host of other foods and is back to aggressively reading product labels. this is once again having a negative impact on my SPAM consumption.

so, for anyone else out there married to a "label reader", i found a solution.

unless she wants to start taking night classes learning arabic...i should be good to go for quite a while.

'mess with the bull and you get the horns'...well...mess with the SPAM and you get the SPORK! :sunglasses:

This should blow her mind... there are three - 3 - separate ingredients lists for the same item. Even more when you add the other verities.

ZWAN Chicken Luncheon Loaf

ok, this is weird...and exactly why its getting posted on here...:grinning:

i bought the wife a laser engraver for her art studio so she can burn designs in her leather and burn holes for stitching without using a punch, etc. she showed me a lot of TikTok vids where people are apparently using laser engravers for literally everything, even burning designs on cookies and pies, etc.
well, i guess i will need to hop onboard and do something like an OB logo laser burned into a slice of SPAM. people are also using the laser to cut very intricate designs in thin wood and metal. im thinking turning a SPAM can into something...

heres a pic of a laser engraving a pie. if yall have any weird ideas...im all ears

its powerful enough to cut out thin metal parts and its a lot cleaner and more intricate than my plasma cutter, so i might also delve into doing something actually useful
with it as well...any ideas on a cool "overland" gadget to make?

hopefully the thread doesnt slip into the "I'm offended" realm, either...the entire thread is meant to be funny and lighthearted.

being "political" is trying to control other people by lording a moral high ground over them to keep them in line. (such as censoring speech or calling people racist)
making a joke about a can of lunchmeat is not political because it is not trying to control, sway or hold power over anyone...it was just meant to be funny, which is pretty much the opposite of being political...

a dude from south carolina who loves to fish made a joke...i actually wish there was MORE of that on here.

Unfortunately, being "funny" can be upsetting, insulting, and such to people. In this day and age it's best to stay away from such when it comes to religion, sex and politics. IMHO it's best to stay away from such topics unless you know your audience and/or the platform is geared that way.

totally get you and i've always enjoyed interacting with you, especially on this thread.
im intelligent enough to understand a "zero tolerance" for politics on here, but the post was a joke about laser engraved SPAM. c'mon now...laser engraved SPAM? pretty much anything that comes after laser engraved SPAM probably shouldnt be taken seriously...right?

thats like a cop pulling you over for going 1/10 of a mile over the speed limit. its still speeding, right? zero tolerance...

anyway, i appreciate you and just want to let you know that nobody was meaning any harm and it never hurts to give our fellow man a little grace..."zero tolerance" anything is pretty hard to do. also, SPAM is pork and pork is haram to the Muslim religion...so this ENTIRE thread is basically being insensitive to 2 BILLION Muslims. so, if you posted anything affirming a pork product on here, then you are complicit in offending an entire religion...if strictly playing by the Rules of Offense...

just something to consider...

Ok. I have a mental block against spam but I just flipped thru 44 pages of content on SPAM… I laughed almost the entire time except for the “I just puked in my mouth” moment about spam Oreos… I will never get that time back… what should I do????

Now that’s funny right there!!
