I worked with a guy that put led headlights in his car, he had nothing but problems out of them. He also ended up switching back to his halogen by the end of it. I decided not to order them after watching his experience. But they were bright as hell when they worked. Lol

I guess mileage varies but its to much expense to keep gambling with it. Yeah when they worked they were super bright but i bought em so i didnt have to keep changing lights, and here i am having to change em again.

Any chance you have a glitch in your circuit. If it happens with both kinds of lights I would have some suspicions.

3 simultaneous failures on an installation less than 60 days old suggests there is a fault somewhere other than the actual LEDs. Converting from Edison bulbs to LED can be tricky. Did you match the resistance with the old lights when they were installed?

There is no bad circuit i just use my lights alot and my truck automatically turns em on when started then they are also on for a few min when truck is locked or unlocked my oem bulbs lasted 4 years then when one burnt out so i decided to go led, im not impressed. The headlights went bad likely because the led driver has a fan and with no ventilation in the housing they over heated and the brake light im sure is just crappy made from china. To be fair the high beam leds didnt go bad just the low beams but i pulled all of them just so my headlight color would match. Circuit faults typically show up on my scanner as body contol module fault codes but im not throwing any codes nor are any recently logged.

I think you just saved me a ton of cash I bought a new rig yesterday to build up and one thing I was going to do was switch to LED head and tail lamps as well as all others interior everything a buddy had the same problem you are having I thought it was just him trust me this guy could buy a brand spanking new Mercedes and within a week something would break. So for the time being I will just replace the housing assembly whatever you want to call it just replace with NEW OEM stuff and go from there

Auto lights have been the norm for over 10 years and they are designed to burn all the time. If you have already burned out both your OEM headlights on a 2017 truck and now have burned out 2 replacement LEDs, there is a problem in your wiring. Might be a good idea to check some of the Colorado specific forums to run down the issue.

Don't melt the snow up here. Don't cut through dust and snow, instead they light it up.

Have you noticed blinded traffic swerving AT you yet? The OEM Jeep LED's are even worse. Very bright.

it really depends on what LED's you're using and how the installation is. I've had LED housings in my JKU for almost 6 years with zero issues. I paid through the nose for them though which I'm sure is part of the reason, but they've been the best upgrade i've made to my jeep by far.
From what i've heard, the standalone LED bulbs have a much higher frequency of issues, Esp if they have forced cooling instead of larger passive heatsinks.

Never in my life have i had a vehicle of any make that had bulbs last more than 1 to 2 years. Maybe i just drive alot more than you 150 ish miles a day 5 days a week 5am to around 8pm (usually its dark out) then whatever i do for fun on the weekend that ranges from 10 miles to 1000 miles. like i said too the lights are on any time the truck is on unlike vehicles of old.

They were cheap amazon leds, we just put sylvania led in rear so ill see how long they last. Im not too worried ive got a stash of led pods from over the years if the headlights need any extra light.

It's the heat. My GM Express van did the same thing in Florida. Running lights ate up the headlight bulbs. I haven't noticed this in Ohio.

Our Express 3500 mirror glass (err....cheap plastic actually) would fall off as well, in high heat. Usually the calm right after storm season where everybody wants me to fix everything. Headlight out and passenger mirror missing was normal almost every year. FHP looks the other way if it's a work truck. The mirror glass is held in with just double sided foam tape.

Careful my friend, you’re going to throw your back out throwing your d!@k around so hard. I doesn’t matter how many miles you‘ve put on your truck, you have still only had it for 3 years. You should not have had to replace your headlights 3 times in 3 years. The lights stay on with all new cars, it’s been a regular feature for over a decade. They should not be burning out that fast.

Best of luck
