so i have a dilemma, I want limb risers but cant seem to find or create a simple solution that would work with my current setup. I have a 2011 jeep liberty and i want to add risers to the rig as it is.

Problem 1: Hood is tapered in a way that would hit the risers if the hood was popped.
Problem 2: Potential Top attachment points are pretty far back behind the windshield.

my plan was to fab up some tabs that stuck out of the hood gap, but i dont want them to be 6inches long.

if anyone has conquered this feat please give me some feedback.

Ok taking stab at it after looking at pics. Use strong magnet that you can put cloth under it so that it does not scratch the paint. Put one on top and one on the hood. Plan B look for a good suction cup like the glass people use and once again on top and hood. This way they are removable and you did not have to drill holes in the vehicle. Good luck.

Mine were a little easier as I was able to tie into my front bull bar on my bumper.

I also have to unhook them to open the hood which is a pain but oh well, they work. Many people out west don't think they are needed because they don't have trees covering their trails. But in Arkansas when the leaves turn green and weigh the limbs down they cover the trails in many places. They work really well. Good lookin rig.

Limb risers must be a south or east thing. I have never seen a rig with them on in Colorado.

Very nice design. I've been on that trail your avatar pic was taken. Thanks again for coming to the novice ride. Are you going to make the next one? Your rig still looks good, Ron

Just spent a week around Ouray for FJ Summit. And no there is not need for them there. Trees are too tall, very few along the sides of the trail and some trails don't have any at all. Around here trees crowd the sides of the trails and in the summertime when the leaves get on they lay over the trails themselves. You should come and check it out.

Just depends on the trails a person goes on.

I'll be putting my limb risers back on shortly as we'll be heading for the woods in a few...

My limb risers get used extensively and are definitely worth their weight.... but I don't keep them on when I'm not going to be utilizing them.... kinda like my gas cans :D

Actually... I was just down in Colorado... without the limb risers.
