You see, when you are retired, and it's cold, windy and raining outside in February. And you have nothing to do. You make work......,like taking your 30 year old Hi-Lift jack totally apart , paint it, and re-assemble it! I think I've used the thing exactly once in 30 years and that was for pulling fence posts out of the back yard! But it looks cool on my overland trailer! Don'y ypou think?

I've had mine for about 10 years and used it to level a carport. Worked great. Still plan on carrying it on my trailer though, never know. Is that green paint.......Nice.

When I was wheeling a lot I used my hi lift a ton, both on and off the trail. I typically rebuilt it once a year just to be sure it was in safe working condition at all times. Now not so much, i actually just got a new one afyer selling my old trusty 60". This served as a good reminder that I should at least have a lot on hand.

Great Reminder--maintenance on the old Hi-lift jack most of the time is over looked. I grease mine and about three times a year, make sure things will work when needed. I'm on the coast and travel down the beach often--the rust potential is crazy on metal---even if it is painted.
Great reminder--thanks!!!!!

I've been putting off freshening up my 30+ year old Hi-Lift for a while now.
