Hey everyone looking to take my growing family into some outdoor adventures in the future, but I wanna feel comfortable with my gear and terrain. I am new to overlanding and looking for some feed back on trails near me that I can learn or group rides !!
Thanks guys

I don't think there's anything too technical in-state that isn't on private property, but I've used the website Gravel Map to find a couple legal gravel roads near me, they're good for an easy scenic drive.

You'll probably have to go out of state to find anything more technical. Keep an eye on the OLB Meetups subforum, just recently we had a meetup in north Jersey that was a great time, and coming up soon is a meetup in northern NY state.

Welcome to the forum!

Depends which side of the state you're on, but if you're close to East Hampton there's a nice long trail starting on Woodchopper's Road. Really scenic drive, took maybe an hour to go up and back. There's a few decommissioned Nike missile sites in the area but they might be on private property so I didn't explore them.

Fantastic! Thanks for sharing, I've heard of those trails through the grape vine but not a map; there's a nice (muddy) trail out in the Fall River area as well, but seems to be a bit flooded with all the storms we've been getting
