Well... I passed my Element 3 General Class EXAM! NOW THE SKY IS MY LIMIT!! OR MOON!

IM going to start on EXTRA while im in the zone! but no rush now.. just going to study one element at a time and in about 10 weeks I should easily have it... I have til 2020 before this text changes for Extra Class!
Congratulations, that's fantastic!

For your extra, I highly recommend watching David Casler's (KE0OG) section introductions before you start each section. He does a really great job of providing additional context and explanation about whatever is being taught for each section.
Here's his web page for the Amateur Extra section intros: http://dcasler.com/ham-radio/extra/
and they are all available as a YouTube playlist as well here:

I just hooked up my new Kenwood D710G to get it connected to computer and programed... then ran to store for a step bit to drill antenna hole in the bull bar on front bumper... for now my front has the low fog driving lights and dont need them on this bar and will make a decent antenna perch... can also add another antenna for any other coms i may need for my Rig...

Use a window mount at the moment with a quarter wave 2/70m, but wanting something mounted to my sport bar and a little more permanent. Still trying to figure out what to do, but heading towards a spring base mount so I don't break anything in my carport or asking garages etc.

I am thinking about heading over to the Leavenworth overland rally tonight. What would I miss if I arrived early Saturday morning instead? Are there still camping spots available?

I just purchased a Larsen steel spring base NMO Antenna after bending my stationary antenna. Went and tested it on a brushy, low tree branches trail today. It worked like a charm.
