Good evening everyone. Chris here, living in Marysville, WA and stationed out of Everett. New to overlanding but a fairly old hand at camping and some limited experience from wheeling in Colorado growing up. My rig is a 2020 Tacoma Off Road. Bone stock for now but am looking forward to sharing my progress as I build and homebrew my way into what i want her to be and exploring with my family along the way. Cheers.

I would like to personally welcome you to Overland Bound. You are located in the Northwest Region (you probably already knew that lol), @Kent R is the Regional Director. @Gabriel Bozeman is your closest Member Representative, and @Sandpoint Steve and myself are also NW Member Representatives.
The forums are a great resource for not only information regarding Overlanding in general, but also for the community they instill. We have several events on the 2020 calendar already, with more and more coming up all the time.

June 15-18 June 2020 WABDR - Washington Backcountry Discovery Route Starting at “Bridge of the Gods” and ending at Plain, Washington for the Northwest Overland Rally. “We are exploring the first 3 sections of the Washington Backcountry Discovery Route on our way to the NW Overland Rally which begins on Thursday, June 18th. We'll start at the Bridge of the Gods early Monday morning on June 15th and cover approximately 1 section per day. We'll be stopping to take in the views of Mt. Adams and Mt. Rainier, do some short hikes, and camp in trucks or tents not far from the route. We'll cover anywhere from 60 to 130 miles per day. The last day, Thursday, will have a few different options for folks who prefer to fish, mountain bike, or hang out in Leavenworth.”

June 18-21 Northwest Overland Rally in Plain, Washington. Overland Vehicles, Fun and prizes, Camping and Classes. Come join other fellow Overland Bounders as we share our love for the outdoors. Preregistration is now open at a discounted price through March 31st. RSVP for the OB Group Camp Site by May 31st to make sure you can camp with fellow Overland Bound Members.

July 3-6 4th of July Weekend at 2 Rivers Ranch in Dayville, Oregon. Come Join @2RiversRanchExpeditions as they host a fun filled weekend exploring their ranch in Dayville. The event starts Friday night with a potluck dinner and a community campfire, fallowed by a 4th of July Parade through Dayville on Saturday. Fallowing the parade we head out for two more nights of adventure. For more information visit the Rally Point or contact @2RiversRanchExpeditions.

Might have to see what I've got on the schedule for June since WABDR is definitely on my list of things to do.

Thank you! My previous station was on the base in Silverdale for a few years. Loved being so close to the peninsula out there. Did any of the snow stick over there? Had some over here but nothing stayed.

It's such a different world over here! We were on Whidbey for 4 years at NAS. The snow did not stick, thankfully. People would have lost their minds.
