Just did trail #96 yesterday, Old Coast Road. Was a quick trot on the dirt, but the drive in Monterey and Carmel was quite astonishing, with the rolling fog and soothing seas. Looking forward to exploring more!View attachment 8663

These are excellent books. They are pretty detailed and the maps to the camp spots are spot on. The company also offers gps tracks if you go to the back of the book that you can down load in to most garmin or related stand along gps systems. Barney Reilly is a fun trail. I went back in 2014 in July the oddest thing that happened was a bear running into the trail while we were going through. Its very odd to see a fuzzy tail and paw pads running away from you.

I have the Colorado book and like it. I did cut off the binding behind the spiral binding so that I could fold it completely in half.. It's way more useful and convenient that way. Not sure why they make it spiral then put that binding in back to keep it from folding all the way around.
