Explorer I
All green close to home in NJ:
A subtle change near the tunnel:
Colors are noticeable along US 30, a.k.a., Lincoln Highway:
Stopped at the Flight 93 National Memorial’s Tower of Voices:
Covered bridge time (not too far from the Flight 93 National Memorial):
We’re heading in the right direction (tree color changes). Tomorrow driving to Ohiopyle then off to Maryland and West Virginia before sunset.
Sunday morning:
Arrived in West Virginia:
Final update: a local resident in Ohiopyle told us that there has been little rain over the last month or two, so the tree colors are expected to be dull.
Driving along the West Virginia local roads was enjoyable but the tree colors appeared to be the same as in Pennsylvania.
Skipped a drive through Maryland. Began raining as we approached the state border. Tree colors looked to be the same as in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Drove back to Somerset PA.
Really Final Update: Flight 93 National Memorial
