Good stuff! I’m happy to read that the G3 held up. I purchased one earlier this year for times when it’s me and my girl. I’ve heard that the sides can collapse when winds are heavy which concerned me.
Does real good. Full size army cot fits side to side. I am super pleased and will be using it again in about 2 weeks.

Nice. If you can, I’d love to see some photos (of what I missed out on) from your El Camino run!
We started out in El Paso to do the El Camino del Diablo trail. There were 4 of us, my jeep, Mikes Land Cruiser with Mission Overland trailer, Kirk in his Tacoma with AT sleeping arrangements, and Carlos with his Chevy and Mission Overland.

I took my dog Blanco to keep me company and he had never been away from home and celebrated his 8th birthday in Yuma, AZ.

Ok, so we took off and made it to Why, AZ, 32° 14' 24.24" N. 112° 45' 12.76" W, and camped the night.

It was a little chilly that night

The next morning we went to Quitabaquito Springs, 31° 56' 35.61" N 113° 1' 12.11" W

Its a pretty neat ecosystem out in the middle of nowhere.

We then made our way up to the CDD and visited the Bates Well. While going up there Mikes trailer suffered a flat so we needed to mend that.

We made it up to Bates Well and checked it out for a bit before moving towards the campsite.

My Buddy Blanco had a good time.

the next day we pushed to Christmas Pass where we stayed the night and had some brutal winds. My Gazelle T3X worked great, Blanco wasn't thrilled by the noise though.

More to come...

Man, that’s looks awesome! Thanks for the coordinates and the trip log. Looks like a great trail run. Looks like Blanco celebrated his 8th with some adventure and excitement, haha. That flat tire looks rough, was the trail that rugged? Was that near the lava fields I’ve read about?

The next day was exploring and continuing west.
We found a nice spot off the trail and hung out of 2 nights

We celebrated St Patricks Day by taking showers and getting clean

So after 2 nights here we boogied to Yuma. Great trail and if I had someone to photograph for me it would have more photos, but Blanco doesn't want to take pictures.

No, the flat was going up from Organ Cactus to the trail, it was just bad luck. The lava fields were nothing, That I believe was before Christmas Pass.

There is so much to do and see, its worth a visit. We went through about a week after the rains, so the moon dust was all caked up rutted road.

Here is the GPX of what we did.

Hey thanks, man! Really appreciate the insight. Yeah, I got to get out there and do this run. I’d like to do it in spring, but I may entertain the idea this fall. Haha, Blanco knows a good thing when it comes. Cheers, mate!
