obviously we gotta keep water out of the diffs. tons of write ups on relocation, but this seems way easier. thoughts? i have an fj, if that makes your thoughts any different. the air wouldn't vent, but does the air actually get changed out in a 4 foot long hose?

I put a standard fitting into mine and ran washer fluid hose up into the engine bay. It was pretty cheap. Definitely cheaper than the relocation kit from ARB for over $100.

As far as the above product... it should work just fine if it stays on the barbed fitting. I would use a little hose clamp or something... rushing water can be pretty forceful if you are fording creeks, etc.

I Don't see the benefit to this. The most difficult to the process of relocating is unscrewing the old fitting and screwing in the new one. Also, I've got the end of my rear diff breather up inside the tail light cavity which I'd trust more than this item.

i think it comes with a little clampy spring thing. washer hose seems easy too. you use that for transmission, t-case and everything?
I originally bought FJNewbs kit (as listed above) but the cheap plastic hoses cracked and my rear diff ended up wide open to the water.

In my environment I would not recommend a plastic hose... use a pliable rubber hose that can withstand the elements. The other hoses from the kit have held up as far as I know... I've only upgraded the rear diff so far.
