How much high speed driving (for extended amounts of time) are you planning to do on rough roads?
Do you need the extra fluid capacity and adjustability of the higher stage kits?
What limitations have you run into with the stock suspension on your Tacoma?
What tire size are you planning to run?

Your best bet is to call icon and ask them, tell em what your wanting to do and I'm positive they can give you the answer your lookin for.
9 out of 10 folks on here will tell you to keep it stock so don't even waste time listening to folks who have no idea what your really wanting. Personally I'd go with atleast their mid tier system not cheapest but not full race expensive.

Only high speed driving is on hwy and to trails plus. Tacoma is my daily driver . No plains to ever race off road or high speed driving off road
probably set compression and rebound and never adj it to be honest
the rear of truck hits on tons of stuff because of weight from rack, tent and gear, rear stock left springs are maxed out and I want to get the front up also.
I want the 2.5 inch so I can get 33' under Tacoma
Thanks for the details. I think my last question is how badly do you want fancy race shocks? :)

The Overland Journal podcasts has several episodes where they discuss the idea of "need" vs "want", especially when applied to suspensions. Based on your description it doesn't sound like you need the extra fluid capacity or rebuildability (is that a word?) of the Icons, and I suspect you'd be very happy with a quality set of aftermarket shocks/springs from OME or Bilstein. You could use the extra money to fund trips or other modifications. That said, if you really want the Icons then go for it! I just don't want you to feel that you need them for the types of trails you are describing.

I recommend either OME or falcons from teraflex. I am doing my suspension now on the wrangler. I am going to do pretty well what I had done on the last one. That is a 2" ish lift, this time I am using the Rugged Ridge 1.75 complete lift without shocks. I am going to use supersprings sumo springs bump stops front and rear, airlift 1000's and either rancho 9000s or something similar. This should give me the control I want off road and a smooth compliant ride on road.

I know this goes against all the marketing and hype but Bilstein 7100 shocks are rebuildable and you can custom valve for you vehicle. By the way way cheaper
