They are awesome, I see all these Toyotas and jeeps on the trails and my goal to get a Chevy out there that can at least do these trials as well. A lot still to do but I feel it'll be worth it. Starting that full overlanding life next year full time and I want it right...[emoji1]My dad had an 03 for several years. Used it for towing his camping trailer. Had HD rear springs with helper bags, and torsion keys up front to level it. When his tranny went out, I wanted to buy it from him but he got a cash offer better than I could do so we sold it.. now it lives somewhere in my area, after it being gone from us for 3 years. Lol. Greats rigs. Love them alot.
Expedition Master III
What year is that? A Tahoe that still had the ability for steel aftermarket bumpers F/R. The new versions have all that plastic, and have marginalized their off-road capabilities drastically. At least the earlier versions were a American version of a land cruiser in size and conception(to a point). Now like the Ford expedition, they have become people movers , with the ability to navigate winter urban streets.I'm working on my 2004 Tahoe, working towards overlanding full time.View attachment 73701

I had the 92 blazer, loved it. Yes you should a heck of a lot easier to do vs these new ones. Suspension would be awesome and only the trans and engine. Keep the engineering of the Tahoe and just upgrade not modify it would be great. That is a beautiful rig and quite capable, this makes me want to build our 2000 Tahoe. Plenty of room and great turning radius.
Right, I tried to stay American the best I could, and I know a lot of guys are Taco fans and Jeepsters and both are awesome vehicles...I have a family and I have a 04 Tahoe so I'll make it work lolol and try and get it close to the same type of specs as the Toyota LC and 4runner...there are lots of upgrades and a few mods I can do to keep it close and perform...What year is that?
