Caught in the WILD!

Couple weeks ago I saw a late 70's early 80's Jeep Renegade pull of in the grocery store parking lot. Cant seem to find the pics but it was beige with the brown-yellow striping. Insanely simple and rugged vehicle, but sure wouldn't want to be driving it 75mph on the highway in a snowstorm

Caught another one. Finally one that has seen dirt!! This time I actually got to talk to him. Met Esteban and his wife at Sam’s. Let’s hope they join our community.

What Irony. Its like the saying of old, "Hey I haven't seen a 1960 Impala around for a while." and then EVERYTIME you turn the corner, there is a 1960 Impala........Here I am sitting in the bottom of FL wondering where all the outdoorsy people are and now I see them all over, in one shape or another......This guy made my wife laugh. A Texan in FL with sweaty feet.

It's notthe heat, it's the humidity

I am outside almost all the time, piddling around, making stuff so yeah it is the humidity and I despise it. Give me 60 degree weather everyday. I judge my days by how many shirts I go thru.

Funny, that...Up here in New England I judge my days by how many shirts I have ON.

6 layers outside today in case anyone wanted to know. Base layer, tee shirt, regular button-down, thick flannel, marsupial half-zip anorak style hoodie from L.L. Bean and the outer shell of a 3 season Columbia coat. And a neck gaiters...And it was colder last week at the Beagle Field Trials where I was out in the woods 12 hours, but I felt just fine outside all day

Mid 50s in Central Texas right now. Actually, had to put a hoodie on. Brrrrr

Let’s see how many off road, overland bound worthy vehicles we catch in the wild!
There are a ton of off-road vehicles driving around Austin. The trick is spotting one that the driver will actually take off-road.

If I did that here I would spend more time taking pictures than driving!
Funny how most of them have a ton of high dollar kit installed and stay equipped all year, but I have never seen any dirt on them.

Personally, I keep mine bare bones unless I am actually on a trip.

100%
You'd never know I take either of mine offroad by the everyday looks of it. Well, except for the dirt part. That stays on most of the time.
