From the pictures it appears that you have to weld these rock sliders to the frame. Unless you are a welder or have some pretty extensive fab experience I would look for a bolt on option, not to mention if you ever want to go in a different direction with your build welding requires cutting the sliders off. A quick google search yielded these results:

unless of course you take it to a shop to have them put on and then get whatever you want.... I would still avoid eBay unless you really know what you are looking at. Might seem like a good deal until it shows up on your door step made of plastic, or worse yet leaves you stranded on a trail.

I've always been a fan of welding the sliders on, but I tend to rub the hell out of mine out here in the midwest. To each their own on that one.

I'd grab a photo or two off of the net and see about finding a fabrication or 4x4 shop near you. Swing by for a visit with them and see what they can do for you as I wouldn't be surprised if a local shop could whip you up a set for the same price or less than what it would cost to buy a set online. That way you know exactly what you're getting. Sliders tend to be long and relatively heavy, so shipping can get expensive quick!

Same goes for the other bits of armor. Some of the smaller things (like diff guards) are small enough that shipping isn't too bad, while some of the large skids/bumpers get pricey when you ship them.

Granted, things are probably cheaper out here in the midwest, but I have known folks in the past that have paid about the same price as those Ebay ones, but they were installed. The Ebay ones you'll still need to pay someone to burn them on unless you can do it yourself. Rough guess is about 1-1.5 hours of shop time assuming you drop it off at the shop with the running boards removed. So call it an extra $120-180 for shops around here.

Good catch.. That is why I ask you guys first. I think the bolt on would be the best option for me. What do they mean when they say with kick out? Anyways true to your advices I got my suspension lift kit first. As always any feedback would be appreciated.

I saw these sliders from White Knuckle Offroad and I like the diamond plating but it'll have to wait till next month... Later today I'll look into Savage Offroad and possibly invest in skid plates who allows customer pick up first. They're local so it should save me a pretty penny on shipping.

By "kick out" on the sliders, they're talking about the part that kicks out right before the rear wheels. That little portion will help shift the truck over a tick when sliding along before the rear tire hits it. Or at least that's the idea anyway.

Guys anyone local in LA snd OC that can help me install anfew things? Skid plates. Rear bumber with gates. And a roof rack and roof rack tent.
