Hey Scott - I do plan on making it to Australia but it won't be for a couple of years - so there's time to complete it. I do have a few followers from Australia who have completed it. You have a great day, safe travels and enjoy the open road until then!

A little 4 day foray.... rained for 2 days straight. It was beautiful weather when we got there to set up camp and then the last day to break camp, lol.


A muskrat swam past us...



With 2 days of rain the girls found things to do in the screen tent....

Well its been long enough forgot my damn password LOL, so the weekend heading into the 4th and the week of was fun alot of miles and laughs to go around. From Water World in Denver, CO to the ranch near Westcliffe, CO. We missed Day 1 setup and dinner and arrived around 0230 to setup and scare the hell out of everyone still awake...

Here are some of the picture that didn't get ruined by my crappy photo skills, LOL.

Fire pit and overall cooking area.

Firing line and range out to 1500yds, rifles, handguns and plinksters were fired all day.


Definitely, enough seating for everyone this weekend, including a 2014 Subaru Legacy and 1990 Ford Ranger that were parked at the gate.

Trying to get everyone in the shot didn't work to well...

Getting dinner ready day 2.

Yummy! Beef veggie packs for the kids and meatloaf and veggies for the adults.

Morning of Day 3 and preparing to pack up before heading up to the hunting camp and spooky forest(which is so named for no good damn reason LOL).

Family hike through the spooky forest. Not all the photos made this upload they are to big to upload will have to edit and post them afterwards.

Make out hideout easily hide 4 people in this lightning caused stump. Ehryn acting like a squirrel...

More hiking but at least we now know where the fire wood is...

Top of the world LOL, or at least the ranch 11,100 ft.

They are not very clear but those are glaciers in the background and my sisters taking marriage photos at the same location as everyone else in the family has.

What goes must eventually come back down...

Up another one, not for me arthritis was killing me at this point.

After this shot we all packed up and headed back to the cabin 30 minutes later we were all headed home to get ready for the 4th, which was one night away. But that is another story.

I hope we have more adventure this summer and get another chance to go and explore.

Man, I've only been home for two days, but everyone's pictures have me jonesing for the next outing! Here's a handful of shots from the last few months. Taken in southwest Wyoming and northern Utah.

Whitney Reservoir, in Northern UT. This is one of my favorite spots from earlier this summer. The area was packed, but this little spot was secluded and had great access for fishing.

This is a really great campsite along the Mill Creek trail in the Uintas. Small stream on one side, and mill creek was roaring away on the other.


Here's a couple from this past weekend. Flaming Gorge, in the Anvil Draw area. It was beautiful, hot, and the fishing was good! I've taken my last two trips out this way, and I'm dying to get back up to the mountains now.
