I love My Whitney. I've hiked it twice already. Which way are you guys hiking up?

We are going to use the Whitney Trail, spend the first night at/near Trail Camp and summit on day two. What we haven't decided is if we are going to spend a second night on the Mountain or if we were going to Death Valley so we could be at the highest point and the lowest point in the US in the same day.

Regarding cots.... we have a set of bunk bed cots for the kids... and the wife and I just sleep on a 3 inch self inflatable.
