We decided to test out the "offroad" package on the new TT. I think it did pretty well. Took some very bad FS roads with foot deep ruts up the side of a mountain. Glad we found this spot, because we had nowhere to turn around lol. Olympic National Forest in WA

I was at Oastler Provincial Park for 2 nights this week. The reason was to take 1 day to kayak and fish on Isabella Lake which is about a half an hour east of the park. I hadn't been there since the mid 1960s' when my Grandparents had an off grid cabin on it. I found the site and was not surprised that the cabin was gone. It was replaced by 3 cottages.

Here are a few pics of the trip plus one of the cabin and one of my Grampa ... who was a better fisherman than me! The cottages were nice but I prefer the memories of what used to be there.

Regarding the above, I stopped for lunch on the way there at what appeared to be an old campground that the Town of MacTier turned into a picnic and rest site - Hwy 69 & Park Rd. on Lake Joseph for those who might be going by. My guess is that it was in full use post war when the road was the main route to the Parry Sound area of Ontario. I was the only one there except for a guy in a 1954 (I think) Ford 4 dr. sedan. The stop was a bit of a time warp.
