Did 4 days in Big Bend National Park a little over a week ago. Stayed at some back country sites, including Paint Gap 4.

Madres Del Carmen in Mexico. The range is a massive protected area in Northern Mexico. My next destination after 1st of the year.

I am going to have to get down there....this just moved up the must do list! But that is one skinny bear.....around here they are just a bit bigger :wink:

love it! I've been a few times and haven't seen a bear yet.
I have been going since i was a baby, this is my 42 year and i have seen two since mid November. It's crazy.
Mountain lion is the last one on my list to see out there.

Yeah, Mexican Black Bears are skinnier and have longer legs than their New Mexico and Colorado Cousins. I have encountered many black bear in New Mexico. We spent some time in Silt/Rifle in summer 2019 after being over in Moab.
