Can anyone familiar with this route help me with a question? I'm wondering where along the Texas Hill Country overland route is OK for overnight camping? I hear there is a lot of private land and not sure where to camp...
The route is short enough you can make a leisurely day of it. Most who camp will do that at Oxford Ranch, the same place as the Avid Outdoors event coming up.

What Rex said. There's also Enchanted Rock State Natural Area if you need something with more amenities.

BTW - I'm pondering another trip this fall/winter. When all depends on how bad the coming .gov shutdown is.

Getting the same. @roots66 can you update the rig limit?

Rig limit reached?
EDIT: Issue fixed.

There is no actual limit. It's a flaw in the software that won't let you delete any prior responses. I changed the limit to 500, but it seems to still be "maxed". There is no need to RSVP, just show up. I'll put up a notice saying this and report it.

You know that the 2024 Solar Eclipse (MAP) will pass right over that area on Monday, April 8th with "totality" starting at 1:40 PM... Millions of people from the other 49 states will be converging on Texas to observe totality.
Watch this Amazing Ted Talk on YouTube about the appeal of seeing totality. It is a life altering event you won't want to miss...

Been seeing bluebonnets coming up already. Looks like the route is going to be blanketed with wildflowers this time.
