Alpha 0.8.37 Build Patch Notes

Alpha 0.8.36 Build Patch has been released and is in review by Apple. You should receive an email once approved by Apple if you are in the test group.

Your build should now show: 0.8.37 Build 1
Android build may be downloaded here (option to install APKs must be enabled): OB1_Build_0.8.87.apk

Testing Focus:

• Forum usage
• Message usage

Bugs Fixed:

• Reply button hidden on some iOS devices Increase default point size from 36 to 48 pts
• fixed issue where wrong title was displayed in messages
• Multiple taps on reply sends multiple messages
• @mention list goes up and off screen.

New Features:

• add "@" button in replies and posts.
• Pinch - Zoom implemented in photo viewer
• Full screen implemented for photos
• Implement like button on messages
• Reply button on posts

Known Issues:

• Notification links do not go to the thread mentioned.
• Chat in the slide out menu does, and is intended to go to your OS txt messages
• Formatted quotes in reply posts are long (full quote)
• Read later filter is inconsistent.

Running Android 10 on a Pixel 3 XL two bugs noticed:
-Nothing under "My comnunity" is select-able.
-Posts with pictures, pictures don't load or app crashes when trying to load them

Same thing occurs on the "By Category" tab, categories are shown but none of the thumbnails load, just a spinning circle in each box. however you can still select the category.

First request for messages is the ability to view the message dialogue when relying. Similar to what you would see in iMessage or other chat software. If you forget a question that the person asked, the only way to refer to the message is to cancel what you’re writing.

Two issues...
1. When replaying the first line and a half of text are off the top of the screen.
2. Alerts are in ascending order.

Found 3 bugs so far.

1. Version displayed does not match apk, shows 0.8.35.1



2. Cannot reply from app, the text box stays hidden behind the keyboard, I can't see what I'm typing.




3. When reading a post that has pictures in it, the pictures aren't displayed (which you probably already know) but if enough of the post is on the screen for the 3 dots to be visible, the app crashes when trying to swipe.

Small issue on Android version. When openening a topic for reading, the app shows "Invalid date" for about a second where the the date/time of the post will be. It's really just about a second, not even enough for me to get a screenshot :D

Just found something else on Android.


From a page with a list of topics when wanting to open the thread, if I touch the line with the poster's alias (dstock said in this case), it opens in the default browser instead of the app.

@Michael is there a refresh function in the Android version ?

I was reading the thread, posted a reply on the PC but could not find a way to refresh on the app, I had to close the topic and go back in.

Posting this from the app so I no longer have the issue with the keyboard hiding the text box.

The swipe gesture no longer crashes the app in posts with pictures.

Hey all,

OK - I am upgrading everyone to v0.8.37! I accidentally updated the .37 build to android users and we all need to be testing the same build! Android user please chack that your build is .37! if it is not, hit the link above again to download it. iOS users, you are waiting for Apple!
