Hi everyone,

Yesterday we heard some bad news from @rmerron Ralph and Terri Peters (OB #0460). Their off-road trailer was stolen and completely gutted of gear and materials while parked in Billings, MT.

They have lost over $13K in equipment and the trailer sustained $4K in damage.

Insurance is a very complicated conversation that will take months for them to resolve. They live in their rig and need all the help they can get now. It sucks.

Many trailers are only insured for liability through the towing vehicle.... and then thats just the trailer itself. All of the contents would need to be covered under a different policy, most likely your homeowners policy. That gets tricky when you dont have a home.
