Hello everyone in the 4Runner registry, my name is Mike and I’m from Auburn, California. I’m a retired L.E.O. And my wife and I are new to the Over land community!

We have two vehicles we plan to build and use! She has a 2016 Jeep Willys and I’m running a 2015 5th GEN 4Runner.

I have many mods planned but so far I’ve done one:

TOYTEC BOSS 2.5 3” suspension lift with adjustable coil overs and UCA’s.

I will keep everyone up to date with future progress.

The only modifications so far are Baja Rack Axe and Shovel Mount, Baja Rack MAXTRAX Mount, rear diff breather, and a custom mount for two Rotopax containers.

I’ve got a 1985 4Runner, early in the building process. Here’s what it is, and what I’ve done so far.
1985 Toyota 4Runner base model 4x4
22RE, with an automatic transmission
Stock suspension, with Rancho shocks up front and Bilstien shocks in the rear
31x10.50x15 Kumho all terrains
Marlin Crawler rear bumper
Vintage gutter mount roof rack cross bars, with a homemade awning setup
rear seats removed and a homemade platform with storage compartments making a flat sleeping area.

There is plenty more in store for this old Runner. It just passed 200000 miles with many more to go!

I can by all the solar panels I want just 200 miles away in Tucson AZ. @ about $100 for 400w panel, $50 for 250w panel. I called and asked the shipping cost and they said $250 a panel UPS or Fedex.

Great setup Matt! How do you like the trailer?

The Off Grid Pando works really well for us. Very back country capable but with the little comforts my wife and I prefer. The design and engineering are first class but the implementation was a little sketchy on our unit. After many, many fixes, changes, improvements and additions it is now perfect in my eyes, and I am a bit of a perfectionist :-) Now, if we can just get a little further afield (I'm in Canada) I'll be a happy camper.
