Cost of shipping, Ridiculous isn't it ? I can by all the solar panels I want just 200 miles away in Tucson AZ. @ about $100 for 400w panel, $50 for 250w panel. I called and asked the shipping cost and they said $250 a panel UPS or Fedex. I can drive there and back for $100 so why would I buy the UPS shipping. Maybe we should go into the shipping business HUH ?

BTW my bumpers shipped for free so the actual cost would be around $250. But IF I walked into the store, the price would still be $500.
I know there is nothing I can do about it but it makes me angry to know the amount of profit is built in to goods today. In the 70's we use to contract to build a house for 0.08% of the cost. Today a builder wont touch a house for less than 50-75% over the cost. On top of that they all drive 70- $100k cars and pick up's the company pays for that's a total write off over 5 years.(basically a tax free automobile expense) but paid for by the home buyer.
Ship groceries and TP

Thanks Lanlubber. I have always loved these old yoters. Especially the 4runners.
I had a friend (he passed) that had 400K miles on his truck. He was in construction and that old truck hardly ever stopped running more than a few minutes a day from 6 am til 8 pm every day except Sunday when he went fishing or hunting in it. Sold me.

IMG_1171.jpgIMG_1389.jpg Here's "Dwight" in capitivity, and in the wild. Can you see those ominous rain clouds above? It dumped on us that night. This is my '97, it's been in my family since... '97! Recently had a new engine built for it, also had the transmission rebuilt. Front end, suspension, everything's been gone through. Steering rack is still original. Just last week it took me through the Mojave, up into San Bernadino Nat'l Forest, The Salton Sea, and back home to Phoenix. It's a good truck. 4x4, SR5 but has leather interior, no locking diff.

That’s very nice and I like the front bumper on it.

Here is my 3rd gen
twin locked supercharged 265k miles still rolling strong
Really like your rig , set up and kid enjoying himself. Somewhere in my archives I have a picture of my boy doing exactly the same thing 50 years ago. Memories last forever.
