SWEET truck!I’m in the middle of trying to get my 2WD full sized ready for camping. I’m not planning to do any serious wheeling, but in the same boat. It’s what I have access to and I’m not willing to sell it for a 4x4. View attachment 138411

You will be just fine on your stock set up. I wouldn't stress one bit. There will be plenty of other rigs to help if needed but our camp location is accessible by a normal road car, I even saw a Prius down there once. You will get a chance to pick people's brains and check out all the other rigs before you start buying a whole bunch of stuff you may not ever need.I just got some advice on another website I'm not sure what to believe. I'm planning a group meetup on 21 Feb and don't have the time/money to get the mud tires, bumper & winch etc. I've been told I can probably get by with just a tow strap, shovel, tire repair kit, compressor and truck claw.
If all I have is a stock Frontier with factory tires, should I even go on the trip?

Learning our truck limits and how to drive it in them or through them. Best up grad we did to it was when I rebuilt the rear end at 245,000 miles I replaced the warn out posi with a detroit locker and re gear from 3:73 to 4:10. We only run 33" tires.New member and new to overlanding. I have a 2WD truck (rear wheel drive) . What challenges did you have with a 2WD and what are some tips for a new overlander?
Thanks

Google search "Frontier Winch bumper"Just saw a YouTube video of the truck claw. Very nice! Probably my first purchase. Question for anyone -what kind of bumper do I need if I want to add a winch to the front of my truck?
