2022 Frontier Pro4x

Big day!! I got my suspension installed...super happy with All Dogs and their Koni kit.











After Install was done I took it to my local "flex test" spot just to cycle the suspension and make sure I didn't screw anything up.








Again, overall I am super happy with it. Next will be working on kitting out the rack and at somepoint I want to get my overhead console panel installed so I have permanent comms.

I would say it is about the same firmness but soaks up cracks and potholes better. Way less jarring than the bilstein 4600 that came on it from the factory. Can't wait to get it out on a trail.

Gotta wait for some hardware to show up but this is going to be the setup on top of the rack. Not an RTT fan so I think this will work quite well. Still haven't decided on what to mount on the sides but I am thinking of double water rotopax on one side and a couple harbor freight apache 4800s on the other.

Great looking rig! We have been wheeling our Big Red ‘Donna’ (That 70’s Show reference haha) since February. She’s been on trails all over Colorado/the Rockies, out to Moab, the Grand Canyon, Nevada, the Mojave, Death Valley, Joshua Tree, the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest, Yosemite, the old Pony Express route through Utah and tons more so far this year - bone stock! These things are incredibly capable machines. She’s waded through 2 feet of water and traversed countless rocky obstacles and shelf roads without any issue. The only real issue has been a failure of the A/C due to improper filling from the factory of the reservoir for the pump which was disappointing/scary as it occurred in Furnace Creek Death Valley in early July as well as two punctures on trail (one was a screw though). Overall a great capable overlanding rig thus far!

I see you’re in Maryland. I just moved to Bowie and work in DC. I just got a frontier S 4x4 and want to slowly start pumping it up. Used to have a rigged up JL wrangler but decided to sell. I love the frontier and can’t wait to build it up.

@Boulder_Pro4x Obvious suggestion for sides of rack: put a shovel, hatchet, and traction boards on the left. Put two metal jerry cans (both gasoline, or one gasoline and one water) on the right side.

I've never had or absolutely needed traction boards, but they would sure have made a few recoveries easier, and negated the need for a second vehicle in one of them. Eventually, you'll wish you had them, so don't wait until you're high-centered in 2 feet of mud to decide you're going to buy them.
