Another Successful Overland Expo West (2017):

This time Lindsay came with. We left on my birthday, and set out to pick up my girlfriend's childhood dog. We live in LA and both work too much to care for a dog so we steal theirs when going camping.

First stop was Lake Havasu City and my favorite mexican spot for my birthday dinner.

I didn't really take photos of the expo, but we stayed the next night in Flagstaff with some Tacoma World friends. Made some great new friends!

I'm super proud of the camp kitchen and how the swing arm has come into play. Bass pro camp kitchen is awesome, 2 burner grill fits great on the end and it runs on the propane tank. There is a light on the roof rack that shines right onto the grill for cooking, and the lantern does a decent job of lighting the sink area. The jerry can has an electric water pump in it that I hope to run a line from to the sink in the table for doing dishes.

After Flagstaff, we left early to head to Sedona. Neither Lindsay or I had been so my friend Stefen showed us around in his sick TRD Pro Tundra.

We only ran Broken Arrow Trail, but it was a blast.

And now you are up to date! haha. Sorry for bombarding with my trips. Next stop is Shaver Lake in July. Probably going to run Bald Mountain to the Lookout Tower. If anybody has done it and has advice or tips, I'd love to know.

Wow, what a campsite at the Grand Canyon! Amazing view to wake up to.

I hadn't seen Relentless Fab's version of SSO's front bumper. I like that a lot!!!

Thanks for the updates. You've been to some beautiful places

Thanks! It's been a really fun experience building this up and going on trips. Unfortunately my job keeps me from going on a lot nowadays, but hopefully I still get out a lot.

Well I've hurt myself every time I take my tent off the roof and this time I need surgery so I'm moving to a ground tent until I can build a trailer I want to.

Anybody have any recommendations on ground tents?

Cant go wrong with REI Half Dome. Plenty o' space, doors on each side, and all in a pretty damn light package. I would definitely give that a look if you got a REI nearby.

Are your new wheels real bead locks? Rig looks awesome
Thank you!

They are fake, but SCS can actually turn them into real beadlocks if that is what you are looking for.

I had beadlocks when I first got the rig but I've never found a time that I need to run less than 15 PSI so it was just extra weight.

Time for some updates.

Cooler/Slide system/Sub box in process. Cooler on one side on a slide, other side will have a slide that will fit a Husky Box

Bye bye third row seats:

Behind the seats is a hidden sub box/storage compartment.

Wow! What a rad build, I am jealous. Could I poke your brain for a moment? Your rig looks very similar to how I want mine! (Or anyone else who knows) How has the Stingray front bumper treated you? Have you hit the original bumper at all? I plan to lift 2-3" and get 35s so I am thinking I should be okay... I see your armor but are you running full skid plates underneath? I am not very familiar with this, how much exactly do I need to cover to get 'full' armor underneath the vehicle, Google has been no help. I don't plan to get a rear bumper yet so I want to remain as protected as possible. Lastly, what made you get the Icon suspension over others, and now why the Kings? I have been looking at the ToyTec Ultimate Lift Kit because I have KDSS, do you know if I can still get the Icon or the Kings? Thanks for your time.

(edit): I of course now find some armor...what are the benefits between going steel and aluminum? Can I trust aluminum down there?
