Yeah, I thought about that and just installing the steel one initially... This one is heavy enough as it is!

The Aluminum is thick enough that I don't regret not getting the steel one.

I agree. my buddy has the aluminum ones and ive seen him smash some rocks and they hold up just fine

very nice skid plate, EW does makes some nice stuff. I just had my second diesel geek panzer plate installed my second TDi i picked up...I heart skid plates
