yes, I bought the plans from etsy, got the steel plate CAD file burned locally at maine fabricators in gorham and welded up by a friend
who is a great TIG fab guy.

the maine fab. guy even tweaked a couple of small things on the burn file for me before that sent it over to production...good shop.
Awesome thanks. Will have to keep them in mind as an option.

That's sad. Ironically, a second front end wreck is what started my build, which is almost complete.

taking it on a 1500 mile shakedown cruise soon. Not a rock crawler, but a 600 mile range glamper !

nice, very tasteful Q7 sir. I love the hidden winch, kinda amazing that you could hide in in there behind the bumper on that Q7 or any other modern audi . I almost bought a Q7. I test drove a couple and there was a lot to love. the major issue for me as I have owned a bunch of audi/vw's already is they are only as good as the previous owner treated/maintained them. the couple Q7's I test drove looked mint but I dreaded hooking up VagCom and running a full system scan knowing what I might find. I really miss my stage 2 tuned TDI treg, massive power, excellent handling and 27mpg highway compared to the 4runner which has zero passing power, usually 16mpg highway unloaded on a good day and handles like a frozen potato balanced on toothpicks. all my 4runner complaints vanish when I drop it into 4low or I remember how boring, stupid reliable and cheap it is run overall. that said I still have (now the wifey's car) a 1.5" lifted on koni's stage 2 2013 Golf TDI with a bunch of 034 parts on it I rip around in once in a while...wwweeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!
