I won't claim to know anything about Land Cruisers, but what I can tell you is it all depends on your plans. If you expect to bolt on a few parts and hit the trail I wouldn't. If you are planning on building a rig with mods (namely suspension) and hit every nut and bolt on the truck, it's probably a good platform. 226k miles is a lot for anything, especially if you don't know who was doing maintenance, if anyone. I would wager a lot of things would need to be done to make it reliable, but if you're into that it's probably a great truck. My first steps on that would be tune up (plugs, wires, all filters and fluids, belts), closely followed by a whole lot of suspension parts (tie rods, shocks, bushings, etc.) and probably swapping sensors like MAF and O2 just for good measure.

I'm probably a year out from a project like this, but if that was in my area, knowing that I would be doing all those things to a rig anyway, I'd probably take a stab at it. The mismatched paint just makes it hurt less when you pinstripe it on some trees later.
