1997 Mitsubishi Montero SR

I just recently bought this rig to travel around the west. It's an intermediary rig while I finish my other montero, which may get its own thread at some point.



It's a 97 with the stock rear air locker. 33 inch Goodyear Duratracs. I flew out to Salt Lake City in October and drove it back to Reno, NV. So far I like it. I've been working on the little things with it.

Looks like a great rig, I’ve seen those handle some pretty tough terrain.

A buddy and I did the "Big Brake" upgrade today, using the Montero Sport brake rotors, caliper brackets, and backing plates, however the backing plates will have to get on later, 6 of the 8 bolts broke due to rust. We didn't gave time to drill and tap all 6.
