1949 Supreme (Potential) Overland Trailer

I picked up this 1949 Supreme Off Road trailer this morning for $800.00. My intention was to use it as is, but...it does have some nice steel stake holders that could support a rack & RTT, and with a 3500# axle, should hold it fine too.

All original except for the tires, paint & wiring.

I don't have the skills to do metalwork. Wish I did, b/c there's a lot of potential in this trailer.

I am limited in metal working skills also, but...you could do some cool mods with very minimal metal work needed

Sweet! I'd just stick some more protective tires on it, and use it as-is. Or double the height with the stakes and enclose it.

I had the thought of using the stakes to support a rack w/RTT. That way, I could still have a 'regular' trailer when I needed one, or drop the rack & RTT on it and be off. That's a ways off though.

Kinda of a slow project for me. 2 kids off to college, so the 'fun' budget had to shrink. Anyway, got a couple new tires purchased & installed. Some Firestone NDT's from Coker Tire to give it a little more military look. I decided against different rims. Opting for the existing rims instead as they're original to the trailer. Next steps are for some tongue modifications, a lock & roll hitch and then some raptor liner on everything.
