Dude, all of this looks good! I haven't been on this forum in a while and just read through the thread. Everything seems thought through and not a hack job at all (unlike my engine swap which I'm basically expecting to burst into flames spontaneously). ha. Speaking of spontaneous fires, what are...
Yeah that is going to be quite the undertaking as everything is controlled by the BCM down to the door locks at some point I think. It will feel good once done though knowing that it is simplified and streamlined. The only thing I would try to keep would be SLABS functionality for ABS/TC even...
Ha, things rarely work out in a positive way like that. And I don’t think the shafts are a delicate as the interwebs make them seem (which is they break as soon as you put on bigger tires and take it off jack stands.)
I’m curious to see how you keep the computers happy with the new engine and...
@dziner @outwardbound looks like I am volunteering as well. Something about the campgrounds. I’m planing on getting there Thursday morning.

Hey folks. I've been super busy with work and broken rover parts lately but was just checking in to see if anyone was heading to Expo East?

Awesome! Be sure to replace that brittle plastic return from the radiator to the overflow tank or it will make you wish you did! Ask me how I know[emoji19]

Really it's more of a financial constraint. Between the tickets and the gas for my less-than-efficient discovery, it will really add up!

Already put in for some days off work but I am still unsure if this expo will be in the cards this year. I would be driving from Jersey. It will be a real bummer if I can't make it!

Good luck with the build. The abs thing is easy. I can link a good write-up if needed. I would definitely recommend adding the CDL, I have found the TC alone isn't totally sufficient especially with bigger tires. I also I have a decent write-up on that. And I know this has been beaten to death...
I've been looking at some new shoes for my disco being that I have about 4 plugs in each tire. Was thinking 33's but have been toying with the idea of 315's

Hey, just an FYI there's another jersey thread floating around here with some other members. Did a meet and greet/ride a few weeks back. We're due for another one soonish.

@Ridge Reaper I had some rubbing on the brake line so it developed a nasty leak. My new lines were delivered today so I'll take care of that. Hopefully no more set backs so I can save some money for new tires, shocks, and coils all of which are toast.

So the rover gods have not been smiling on me these past few weeks. Hopefully with enough duct tape and spit I can piece this thing back into something I can take on a trail again.

@NJJeeper yeah, not a great design if your the type to test your bumpstops often, ha.
@Ridge Reaper what do you think caused your fans to not come on?

@Ridge Reaper that kind of thing is so frustrating! My problem was an aftermarket dual battery tray collapsed forward and pulled out the hot that feeds the ECU via fuse box.
