Thanks for sharing. I am coming to a similar crossroads with my vehicle now, where I am spending more time and money keeping the land cruiser alive than enjoying the outdoors. Definitely going the full size route and something very similar.

Hello, We are visiting the Hiawatha NF, and Lake Superior from PA. Anyone has any advice on traveling from Whitefish Point to Hiawatha NF using any backroads/trails. I see some roads connecting on the map, but any local advise would be welcome. Thanks

Ryan is a great guy, and OTRAMM is busy for a reason. As you mentioned, it’s difficult to get the car in, but it’s definitely worth it. Another shop in the area, Land Cruiser Heaven, in Hagerstown MD. They are extremely knowledgeable and professional.

If you can download maps into the app, and has off cellular/data location tracking then it may not all be lost. Gaia has all this route builder functions, that I never around to using.

No unfortunately. I use Google Maps + Gaia.

Thanks for the updates. Taking the family up to the National Forest next weekend for a camping trip. I count at least 5 members In the SW PA area, we should definitely link up once all is back to “normal”.

Yea I see the national forest is opening up, but roads/trails have not been maintained and will reopen once the work is concluded. Will keep and eye out and message if I see something.
