I'm looking for a 4x4 service shop with reputable experience working on Gen 2/2.5 Mitsubishi Monteros. Specifically the driveline/transmission. Something broke the other day when I was testing out 4LLc low gear when I shifted it back to 2H and then R—sounded crunchy. Now also simply shifting between D and R makes funny noises—kinda like slowly moving parts or actuator.

Anyone have first-hand experience or have referrals?

Thanks!
Derek

Did you find a specialty shop?

I know mainline overland is all the way East.

I am in the city if you want a hand, or doing a day outing/camping.

Turns out nothing broke. It was just my inexperience at the time—it was front-rear binding since it was still locked (center). Yeah noticed Mainline, kinda far. I wonder if it’d be worth it to start up a shop here? I like the idea.

Glad it was resolved. You manage to get out during these times?

No. But I also just sold our rig. We’re getting ready to get into a Chevy CO ZR2. Waiting for EOY deals.
