I can answer this, I'm an expert because I watched part of a TV show one time... I was watching a show that seemed like "Cops" but for Game Wardens in New Hampshire and they were assisting a rescue of stranded skiers that went out of bounds.
The narrator emphasized if the hikers were found to be...
Our last several visits to State Park campgrounds were frustrating due to inconsiderate groups. Mostly carrying-on the party past midnight with music and drunken "Woo-Girls".
It's a damn shame too as most of North Carolina's State Parks are wonderfully maintained beautiful places that I'd love...
I wrestled with this decision a couple years ago. Ultimately I decided the camper shell with load bars on top was the way to go for our needs. I learned their weight rating was far less than I expected but since having them I realized just how little I use them.
The racks look amazing and have...
I'm building up to electric, but still doing a hybrid system. I have 200Ah, using standard deep cycle AGM, that can take charging input from solar or alternator via a redarc BCDC.
So far it powers my fridge and charges electronics but haven't pulled the trigger on electric blankets or griddles...
Man, you're not kidding. When my wife and I decided it'd be nice to have a dual-zone fridge/freezer to take on trips it sent me down the rabbit hole of auxiliary battery systems and mounting (still unfinished). There were some considerations made outside the scope of overlanding as well, like we...
Gazelle tents have 2 entries, the main and one in the back corner. I do not think the main door has double zippers, it has zippers on the inside and out, but I think it unzips going up and zips going down. I would echo my apprehension to "lock" the exits, but I don't have a constructive...
These are just my opinions of things I didn't want when looking for my truck:
Air bag suspension
Sunroof or panaramic glass roof
Heated/Cooled seats
Auto-Adjust cruise control
Factory running boards - in fairness here, this is a decision you may want your wife's buy-in on. My wife would have...
If you're into DIY (which it sounds like you are), take a look at some extruded aluminum products to kit one together yourself. It's WAY down on my list of things to do, but eventually that's the direction I think I'll go. You could even get the wind deflector and side panels done yourself with...
That is both a legit complaint that would piss me off were I in your shoes, and a hilariously curmudgeon-y comment from an outside point of view. :grinning:
Be sure to let them know they lost your sale AND why. Some people will shy away from directly calling out a company on public forums, but for things like this it can be a great tool for change. An active social media department should be monitoring popular consumer forums and can impact...
Also, and forgive me for making an assumption here but you didn't mention anything about dilution. For regular disinfection, concentration should be something like 1:20 - 1:30. A stronger 10% solution will even kill fungus spores. No need to pack and work with straight bleach, it just ruins...
Don't underestimate the benefit of making one yourself if you have the interest in doing so. With the price of materials right now I doubt it'd be cheaper than anything you could buy but you could customize all your own options on an auxiliary power box.
