I know very little about comms but in my opinion GMRS is the best of both world the place that the overland/4WD community fits in but like said before adoption rates of it are very low. Most 4WD community’s require at least having a cb I agree with this but if out with a group someone should...
They were easy mostly one road was bad for mostly stock vehicles but have ways to by pass the bad spots. Some mud holes not too bad though. I got a Gaia track of it an I stopped at all paved roads and turned around soo it’s not all just like how it sounded.
Lol don’t worry I only drink whiskey. I’ll probably be riding solo but if my wife has those days off for work she’ll be with me. I need to get a dash cam and a actual camera all I got is my iPhone se.
Unfortunately I don’t have a cb set up yet but before the years out I plan to have a duel antenna set up for max Potential effectiveness. I’m usually by myself so I only have a handheld ham for emergency’s.
Old nc 105 I just went there this past weekend it was tough for me with a 4cyl and natural aspiration motor and the steep grades. It would be easy for a full size probably.
That’s awesome I’ve never heard of old kings hwy before but I just looked into it. If only as many South Carolinians knew the meaning of your name, everything seems to be lost through time. I’m glad to help with this project if I can. I’ve traveled this state a lot but still have much more to see.
