I've lived here 48 years. best advice is don't leave things in your vehicle or on the outside. Our sun and heat is brutal and will destroy it all.
After a trip I pull everything off my rig and pull it out from inside as well.
I'm selling my KB VooDoo rack that is completely modular, and will fit any pickup. It is 58" long, so it's the longer one of the two sizes. The rack is 23" tall, which I believe is the tallest the rack comes in. I have had it about a year, and because i'm not going to do the RTT thing I just...
I too have a white '15 silverado 2500, only i have the gas version. I love it, not sure why so many think chevy is junk, it's had zero problems the five years i've owned it. Good call on using the kriptonite ball joints, the Cognito one's went to crap in a year, the Kriptonite ball joints have...
The G80 has been fine for me. It is a true mechanical locker when engaged. The only issue is you can’t floor it, then suddenly have it lock up or you’ll damage it. Also on technical terrain it can unlock if your on and off the gas a lot.
I have a Silverado 2500 that I do a lot of overlanding with here in the Southwest . I also own a 2000 wrangler for trail running if there’s something hard to run. The Silverado can do way more than people give credit for.
I did a run with the Silverado with a bunch of overlanding jeeps all...
Hey brother, that's a great vehicle to build up.
I have a 2000 Sahara TJ that is moderately built up and it can handle a lot of offroad and still hit the highway. I currently have a 2.5" lift with a 1' body lift and 33' tires. It came with a Dana 44 rear with limited slip and a Dana 30...
I too have a 2015 Silverado 2500 as well as a 2000 Jeep Wrangler [emoji2]. I prefer to use the Silverado for overland type stuff because it’s more comfortable and plenty capable. If interested, give me a shout, we’ll do a little exploring.
Hey Brien the ideas you have sound good. I've been wanting to do AZBDR or a Baja trip for quite some time, just don't want to go solo.
I've been thinking of doing a Rim trip taking the whole FR300 from Srawberry to Showlow, this spring when it gets a little nicer up there.
I recently purchased a kb Voodoo rack for my Silverado to use for work and play. it is incredibly easy to remove and modify to fit your needs. When I received the rack one of the top bars was and old version that made it difficult to remove and reinstall easily which I needed for my...
