with 25k budget and minimum requirements and a family, i would suggest looking to see if you can find a used dodge 1500 with the 3.0 diesel you may be able to find one..

a price range might be needed for more accurate suggestions. Will say this though, for a truck a tacoma is hard to pass up.

open carry here. i never seem to get people that flip out over the sight of a firearm. more people curious and wanting to know where to start on their own journey to feeling comfortable carrying. but overlanding/camping. i always have one on me.

it is sad that social media is the judge jury and executioner now a days. after watching that video, really made me think of how lucky i have been in the past. i have parked in very similar areas over the years..
