    Trash bag

You wanna talk cheap I use my old duffle bag from the military and just strap it on to the spare tire. Works perfectly, is heavy duty, it was free and doesn't look like everyone else's bag when traveling down the trails.

    Ham installed

Hmmm, now I might have to look at moving my antenna to the front like yours. How does the swr look in that location? I currently have mine on the back just in front of the spare tire and it doesn't have the best readings, still below 2.0 but a 1.0 - 1.4 would be excellent.

Very cool vehicle. The Tigers are getting very pricey now a days.

    Essential Solo Overland Recovery Gear

Hold on sparky, the man just wanted 5 most Important items to carry with him on a solo adventure. To carry everything that have listed on here he will need a full size truck. A lot of what you recommended is excellent stuff but you have to be able to carry it on the vehicle, know how to use it...

    Essential Solo Overland Recovery Gear

That is a great point - the more capable the vehicle the more stuck you can get. A 2wd car will not get near as far in to the woods as a fully locked big tired off road piece of manliness.

    Essential Solo Overland Recovery Gear

I agree with your top 5 except 1,5,2,3,4. Shovel to dig yourself out of the situation, jack to lift the vehicle from the situation, traction mat to put under the tires because of the situation, compressor to air the tires back up after you tried the lowering of air pressure to get you out of the...

what temp do you set your 12v fridge on?

That is what I thought too. Plus, it depends on whether you have the fridge set to eco or max mode. Eco will allow up to 4 degrees variable from the set temp, while max will only allow 2 degrees.

    Anyone actually use back-up cameras?

That isn't a Tigre version is it? I read that they only use 1 ton chassis for the motorhome conversions.

    Anyone actually use back-up cameras?

I run a dual camera setup in my little JK. The rear area is packed with my Overlanding gear and it really comes in handy when backing off road and on switchbacks. It is all in the rear view mirror and is activated whenever the vehicle is on, I can have just front, just rear or any combination of...

    Fridge and power help please!

the new accessory plug that you purchase will have 2 wires. Run the power wire to the aux trailer wire and the ground wire to anywhere on the trailer that you want to . It is best to keep both of the wires on the accessory plug as short as possible to prevent the power wire from getting hot due...

    Fridge and power help please!

you have a 7 pin? Does the trailer have electric brakes on it? Okay so on rhe trailer side of that plug will be 7 wires going to a junction box. The largest thickest wire is the constant power wire and that is the one that you will want to use to wire in a accessory plug. Then the fridge or...

    Fridge and power help please!

4 pin setup for trailer wires, gotcha. You would have to go 7 pin and then it would provide battery power to the trailer. Nice looking trailer.

That combo would definitely work. What type of camping do you do? Hiking, I presume since you are not wanting the vehicle to charge/run the fridge. The Great Smoky Mountains are not very reliable with sunshine, but the beach sure is. The outside temperature also plays a great deal in to the...

    Fridge and power help please!

So Jackery says that 100watts solar charger will take 9.5 hrs of sunshine to fully charge the 500watt system. How often will you be camping with out using the vehicle to charge the solar generator? If this is a once a month go camping for 2 days and then go home I would put the extra money spent...

    Fridge and power help please!

Let me look at the Jackery website to see just how fast it will charge up with what wattage.

    Fridge and power help please!

Yes, the more wattage that can be generated in to the Jackery the faster it will charge even while still running the fridge during the charging process.

    Camping Help

It might be easier to check out the campgrounds that are located in the area that you are wanting to travel through. Being November and the location I really doubt there will be much camping activities in those campgrounds and you should be able to get a descent winter price with plenty of...

    Fridge and power help please!

If you are only using the Jackery to power everything then I would opt for more solar charging capabilities. The 100watt will take quite a while to charge the Jackery back up to full charge. The closer you can get to 200 watts the faster it will charge and be able to keep up with the accessories...
