Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
I definetly noticed mpg drops when I got a lift, larger tires, and a roofrack.
Why I plan to avoid heavy bumpers, winch, and RTT.
Brand new, I was averaging about 17 mpg, now its 14 mpg. Fully loaded and im looking at high 12s or low 13s.
I have a simple 100 watt solar panel, connects to a 500 watt battery bank, which powers my dometic 18 quart fridge/freezer.
So far, this panel does a great job of keeping my fridge going.
It puts way more power into the battery than the fridge can eat the power, so I can go basically...
I sometimes daydream about having a nice big garage with a few modified cars.
My overland vehicle would one of these, nice reliable v8 inside and an off road trailer.
That what my reason as well.
Did not like the sunken in look of the wheels and tires, got 1.5" spydertrax to stick it out a bit.
Also helped me fit the 33" tires.
My new tires have 4.5" backspacing, so they're about the same as my stock wheels with 1.5" spacers.
Did a small lift and waiting to...
What is it going on?
I was happy to finally take my spacers off when I got new wheels.
They never budged, but was on the back of my mind when I was wheeling hard or doing 75+ on thr highway.
I'm not allowed to go on adventures without my pups, they would be so mad!
I bring a lot of steel cables (about 40 feet in total), to make sure they can't chew through it and run off to hunt.
I pack a lot of food for them, mostly steak and eggs, they pretty much eat what I eat, but honestly...
I have not specifically with Wyoming.
My career is making sushi, I have looked around and unfortunately I would not make great money elsewhere.
I doubt I could make great money doing sushi in Wyoming otherwise id make the jump.
I'd lie and tell people I'm from Japan or Korea, I know the rest...
That sounds like a dream to live there.
I was born in California, and I dream of being able to leave. But I am stuck here because of my career. I would not earn nearly as much in Wyoming than I do here.
I am slowly getting into trading stocks, so when that is providing as I need, ill look to...
I've been a sushi chef for about 15 years.
The pros are that I can make cool looking plates of sushi, making people happy is very rewarding.
Plus, I get to drink on the job.
The cons is the hours, typically I start at 1030 am and get home around 1030 pm, 4 days a week, with an hour or two...
Ah this setup is pretty cool!
The panel is putting in about 60-65 watts in, and the fridge is drawing about 5 to 40 watts.
It has pass though charging so that the panel can be charging the battery while the battery is keeping the fridge cold.
I will setup the solar panel in the morning during...
So its been 45 hours since plugging in my fridge to my 500 watt battery.
It is down to 39% battery. Which, if my math is correct, 1.35 watts per hour.
My solar panel comes today, will be doing another test once battery is dead.
So far this has not done much to the dead battery.
Its been about 4 days, and the voltage meter still is showing no signs of power.
Maybe the battery is too far to be revived.
