    San Antonio area members?

    San Antonio area members?

I am currently stuck in NJ, but I miss SATX. I’ve been wondering how far would I have to drive North of Bullis to get off pavement or for some dispersed camping... in case I can ever get back. Why does it seem like most people go to Padre? If I remember correctly it was pretty hilly and scenic...

New England Area Trail Rides / Car Camping

There is a designated state owned off-road park off the Taconic not too far from Fishkill/ Poughkeepsie. A friend took me there about 5 years ago. I haven’t been back since I moved to NJ. It might be the Hereford multi use area but I’m not sure if that’s the place. The Trans Mass Trail might...

What's your latest camping gear purchase, and what caused you to buy it?

Had an emergency “open air office visit” on a trip a few months back and decided a pop up privacy tent was a must moving forward. It easily proved its worth on the following trip lol I think it was like 8$ And the ceiling leaks a little in the rain...

What do you think are really good tires for most off road ventures

On our Frontier we are currently running the Milestar Patagonia M/Ts. They are a very very capable tire but they come with a bit of noise on the highway. This truck is our primary adventure and inclement weather vehicle and these seem like the perfect choice for this role at a solid price. We...

    Camp Photos!

Near Switzer Lake by Flagpole Knob in VA Started the morning with coffee by the stream and you might be able to see my wife whipping up an amazing dinner under the awning in the second pic. Really ended up testing the waterproofing of everything later that night

    NEBDR in a 4WD

@RJ Howell You also have that large camper in the back which I’m sure adds a degree of difficulty to the trails Thank you very much for the routes!

    Camping in faith

Faith is priority#1 for me. I’m a deacon and the drummer at my church which means no planning adventure time on the weekends for the wife and I. So we usually travel during the week, leave after our Tuesday night bible study, and make sure to plan to get home in time for the Friday prayer...
