Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
I really want to build s pull out drawer system for my Jeep, the pre-built ones are way too expensive IMO. It may be a good winter time project. Where did you buy the slides?
Those are some nice bags/totes but man some are salty. I bought some Plano (I think that was the brand) and i keep them loaded to toss on the rack if i need to go and they have never let water in, yet.. And they were $20ea.
I have to say, i have only been active on here a few days and i am very impressed with the layout of this forum. It is very easy to navigate and find what you are looking for. That is my one dislike of Expedition Potal is it seems cluttered. It is still an awesome forum though regardless of...
I am really hoping to get some more exploring time done this coming year. I think with the more capable rig i now run it will be easier to get out because it wont be broken all the time (knock on wood)
I keep a tote packed for up to a 3-night camp. But, we keep B.O.B. in all our cars that if we needed to could sustain us an additional 3 days. We have a 1yr old and a 3yr old, both boys and kids can add a lot of complication to trips haha, wouldn't trade them for the world though.
Just realized i forgot to introduce myself. Name is Jordan. I drive a 2004 Jeep WJ Limited with 100k miles on the 4.0l. Love it, only had it about 6 weeks and already have changed a lot on it. Check out the "Red Riding Hood" build on the build section if your interested to see what's been done.
Started recently looking into RTT setups. Sleeping on the ground here in Indiana gets really cold at night in the winter. Plus, i like the ease of just unfolding it and it pops up and your ready to camp anywhere.
Sweet burb man! I used to be a GM guy but 6 S-series (truck and Blazer mix) and i got burnt out on them, probably just the fact that they were too light duty for what i wanted. I always was fixing something on them. Engine and trans were solid though.
I just started working on a kitchen build myself. I think i will probably build a trailer and use it as the platform for a kitchen. Most my trips will be weekend trips where a full kitchen won't be needed. The longer trips i'll hook up trailer and go, plus i'll need more space anyways for the...
I personally really like the Excursions. I think you should keep it and build it. Seen some pretty sweet ones out there. Only weakness i see is its size may make it hard to navigate on tight trails.
